Classroom visits were SO MUCH FUN! We loved having your family come to school together. It was a joy to see the bond between your child (and you) and their teacher continue to form.
We are all set to go for our first week next week! Please read thoroughly below for answers to our most Frequently Asked Questions.
How Does Drop Off and Pick Up Work?
Arrive at school with your child(ren) at the beginning of your Classroom Drop Off window (Colonial schedule HERE, Calvary schedule HERE). There will be a table inside the building (outside of the classroom area) where you will line up, socially distanced, for your child’s Health Screening and check-in. Remember that masks are REQUIRED for all Caregivers. Our Assistant Directors, Jenny (Colonial) and Cara (Calvary) will be leading the check-in process. After your child’s health screening he/she will join their teacher and classmates behind the check-in table until your 5-minute check in window ends, at which time they will head to their classroom. If you miss your check in window you will need to wait until all classes have checked in and we are able to do your child’s Health Screening and bring them to their classroom. At your child’s pick up time, your child’s class will be ready at the check in table for your arrival at the front of the line.
What if we need someone besides us (our child’s parents) to pick up our child?
All families have let us know two emergency/authorized contacts on your child’s Student Information form- teachers will have these contacts on their student roster. Families will receive two ‘pick up tags’ (ID card with child’s first name, last initial and graphic of their ‘berry’ level) to be given to their emergency contacts to show when picking up your child. If you need/want to add more authorized contacts please let your child’s teacher know and they will be added and we will make a pick up tag for that person. During the school year, if you have a last minute situation and need to authorize a different person to pick your child up, please email the person’s name and phone number to your Assistant Director before your child’s pick up time and let that authorized person know that they will need to show ID to pick up your child.
