Greetings Berry Patch Families and Friends! Such a fun month was experienced in our classrooms in November and so many exciting things happening in December. This month kicks off with Spanish the first week, ends with a special visit from a puppeteer coming to present our Afternoon Adventure and includes dozens of creative and engaging activities in between! Here is what we can look forward to between now and the Christmas holiday break.

Monday, December 3rd – Spanish Week for all students

Tuesday, December 4th – Special field trip for all of our Strawberries

Monday, December 10th – Staff Meeting Day – No Lunch Bunch or PM Playmates

Tuesday, December 11th – Annual Christmas Concert at Calvary.  There will be no PMs at Calvary on concert day and children should report to their classrooms at 5:45.  The concert will begin in the Sanctuary at 6:00 sharp.  All families and friends are invited to attend, and siblings must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Thursday, December 13th – Annual Christmas Concert at Colonial.  There will be no PMs at Colonial on concert day and children should report to their classrooms at 5:45.  The concert will begin in the Meeting House at 6:00 sharp.  All families and friends are invited to attend, and siblings must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Monday, December 17th and Thursday, December 20th – Afternoon Adventures.  All Blueberries and Strawberries are invited to help us welcome Merlajean’s Parading Puppets to The Berry Patch.  Merlajean and her team of various unique puppets have performed at hundreds of elementary schools, preschools, child care centers and libraries since they began in 1987.  Children will enjoy several different stories including Bennie’s Pennies, Love Grows, Tacky the Penguin, The Nativity and perhaps something about Santa!  You may register your child for the Adventure by selecting “Afternoon Adventure” when signing him or her in the mornings of the programs.

Tuesday. December 18th – How to Handle BIG Emotions in Small Children” Parent Education Lunch & Learn.  All Berry Patch families are invited to join us as our Parent Educator presents and facilitates the discussion from 12:00 – 1:00 in the Library at Colonial.  Please let us know you plan to attend so that we are sure to order enough lunches!  You may RSVP by emailing reservations@berrypatchschool.com

Friday, December 21st – Our last day of school before Christmas vacation.  Have a wonderful holiday and New Year!  We look forward to seeing you when school resumes on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019!

Looking Ahead:

Wednesday, January 2nd – School resumes

Monday, January 7th – Registration for the 2019-2020 school year begins for families with children currently participating in our program.  Registration information and forms will be sent home prior to Christmas break.

Wednesday, January 16th – Registration for families with children who have previously attended The Berry Patch begins.  Forms may be submitted to the main office anytime after 8:30 a.m.

Thursday, January 24thNew Family registration begins.

2018-19 and 2019-20 Registration Information:

Prospective parents please note that we DO require children entering our program to be fully immunized.
