Registration at The Berry Patch
Registration is now being taken for the 2012-1013 school year at both Berry Patch locations, Colonial Church and Calvary Church. Enrollment allows for a limited number of students so we encourage you to submit your forms in a timely fashion. The Berry Patch is dedicated to providing an enriched learning environment for these early years. Our goal is to provide a loving educational experience where each child is nurtured and stimulated to reach his or her full potential in a Christian environment.
Our Morning Program runs from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and is a combination of free-choice as well as teacher-directed activities for our preschoolers. Your child will experience group play and individual learning. Each child will learn new skills, thus developing his/her emotional, intellectual, physical, and social needs. Included in your monthly tuition are weekly Music classes and monthly Spanish classes. We will also offer field trips for our 3 – 5 year olds correlating with the theme being studied; transportation will be by school bus. Outreach is an integral part of our preschool. As part of our mission to help your child learn to care for others, we have developed a monthly outreach program, C.S.O. (Children Serving Others). We are excited about working together as The Berry Patch family to help make a difference in the community.
- The Berry Patch Junior (Huckleberry) Class provides your toddler (ages 24-35 months as of September 1st) with an opportunity to spend consistent time with other children his or her age in a loving, supervised environment at both Colonial and Calvary. This time of quality play interaction provides a healthy foundation for the coming school years.
- The Preschool (Blueberry) Class is a perfect environment for three year olds who are eager to learn and bursting with excitement. This is a big year of learning the basics and our Blueberries experience activities centered around the alphabet, numbers, communicating feelings, expanding friendships and moving from parallel play to meaningful interaction with one another. You may choose from a two or three day option. (Please note that ages are determined as of September 1st).
- The Pre-Kindergarten (Strawberry) Classes prepare your child for a seamless transition into Kindergarten through our academically enriched hands-on, play-based curriculum. Four and five year olds may choose from a three, four or five day schedule. (Again, please note that ages are determined as of September 1st).
Lunch Bunch will be held from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at both locations. This is an option that gives your child an opportunity to bring his/her lunch to school and dine with friends. This is a social time where table manners are taught in a loving way.
P.M. Playmates is an option for your 3 – 5 year old child and is available from 1 – 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. This is a structured program with curriculum that includes creativity in the classroom, large muscle activities, free play and some additional time with friends. A quiet story time offers them a few minutes of rest and relaxation.
Afternoon Adventures will meet at both locations from 1 - 3 p.m. on the third Wednesday and Thursday of each month. This is a time for children to learn and grow in a variety of exciting classes in the arts and sciences. Each child will experience hands-on activities that will enrich their minds and enhance their creativity.
Returning Berry Patch families may register beginning Tuesday, January 3. Please turn in your registration form and the non-refundable $60.00 fee for each child being enrolled at your child's school BEGINNING JANUARY 3rd.
Previous Berry Patch families may register beginning Monday, January 9. Please turn in your registration form and the non-refundable $60.00 fee for each child being enrolled at your child's school BEGINNING JANUARY 9th.
New families may register IN PERSON beginning Thursday, January 26th at 8:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Colonial. Registrations for both Calvary and Colonial locations will be taken at this time. A registration form and non-refundable $60.00 fee (for each child being enrolled) are required at the time of registration. Please note that doors will open at 6:30 a.m. and families may only register their own children.
