Thank you to all who have registered for next year. We have had an overwhelming response and look forward to serving each of you throughout the 2012-13 school year.
This year is going so quickly! Here are a few of the exciting things happening this month at The Berry Patch.

Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22 - Science Museum Partnership/Enrichment Program begins at Colonial
Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28 - Science Museum Partnership/Enrichment Program at Colonial
Feb. 13 - No PM Playmates due to Staff Meeting
Feb. 14 - Field Trip to Friendship Village (3-5s)
Feb. 15 - Field Trip to Walker Methodist (3-5s), Parent Ed * at Calvary, Afternoon Adventures ** (Playmakers Performance) at Calvary
Feb. 16 - Parent Ed * at Colonial, Afternoon Adventures ** (Playmakers Performance) at Calvary and Colonial.
* This month’s Parent Ed topic is Family Fun. Join our Parent Educator, Becky Danielson, and other Berry Patch parents to learn more about keeping the romance alive with young children in your home, share ideas for family fun events and outings, and involving grandparents in the fun. Remember that there is free childcare available and reservations can be made by calling the office at 952 836-1577.
** February's Afternoon Adventures opportunity is presented by Playmakers and is entitled Fairy Tales from Around the World. Children will experience magical learning about other cultures through entertaining stories and puppetry. Children will watch 3 puppet shows:
Mei-Ling and the Dragon: A story from China about a kind and compassionate young girl who invites a dragon to her birthday party.
The Lazy Lion: A story from Africa about a Lazy Lion who wants the other animals to build him a home before the great rains come.
The Bremen Town Musicians: A story from Germany about a group of animals who are off to the town of Bremen to become famous musicians.
After the puppet shows, each child will get his/her very own dragon puppet to decorate and bring home.
Feb. 20 - No School – Presidents’ Day
Feb. 21 - Camp Sizzle Berry registration opens to new families.
