I started what’s now The Berry Patch School over 25 years ago in my home with one thing in mind – to give children a love of learning in a fun, warm, faith-based environment.

Today I’m thrilled to say that over 2,500 young learners have graduated from our two Edina area schools. I’m just as excited to announce that the Berry Patch School is expanding once again, this time to the South Metro area.

Children in the South Metro can expect the same approach that has made The Berry Patch the premier preschool program in Edina – a nurturing, hands-on, creative environment where exploration and wonder abound in the classrooms. Children Serving Others (C.S.O), our monthly service project, teaches children the importance of reaching out to others in our communities and around the world. Children will also be exposed to various field trips, weekly music classes as well as a monthly Spanish class.

At the Berry Patch School we believe it’s best to walk before you run. To that end, we are limiting enrollment to insure that our newest school maintains the Berry Patch standard. Beginning September 2010 we will offer a 2-year-old class (Huckleberries), a 3-year-old class (Blueberries) and a 4-year-old class (Strawberries). Admission is on a first come basis.

My passion is partnering with parents to start their children on the path to becoming life-long learners. I believe the preschool years are the most critical years in a child’s social and academic development.
